About Us
KUFI grows a very large collection of potato, garlic, perennial onions, a small collection of apples and pears; specialty sunflowers. We are also adding products from other small, local farmers and gardeners.

Kenosha Potato Project has very rare varieties, produced in very small quantities (perhaps a couple of pounds for any one), which are requested from all over the USA a seed potato. Whenever we have a surplus to order, you may be the only person in the World who gets to cook and eat that specific rare variety. The cost of production for potato grown in small quantities, in containers filled with compost is estimated above $2/pound, compared to the industrial production of potato processed as chips or fries, which is less than 10 cents/pound. This disclaimer explain the higher cost of potato KUFI is offering on KPM2GO.

Practices
Beyond organic, wherever possible. That is no till, no compacting, loads of compost added on top of the soil. Lots of genetic variety and no pest suppression, that means we share the crops with rabbits, squirrels, chipmunk, skunks, opossum, groundhog, raccoons, and deer.
The final objective of this small, urban farm is to allow educational opportunities in coop with the local institutions (GTC, Carthage, UW-Parkside and Hawthorn Hollow) to show future generations how food can be produced successfully in an urban setting.
Farm tours can be organized.
